DPSA, which caters to Australasian mineral resources industries, sees the acquisition of Globe Compressors as a strengthening of its group.

Globe Compressors is a successful company specialising in the manufacturing and distribution of air compressors, drill rigs, industrial and drilling products.

Managing Director of DPSA, Neill Clur, said: “This will consolidate our position in the market as a leader in providing a wider range of high quality products and services to the mining and industrial sectors.

“Together we will now be able to move forwards and we already have many exciting plans to expand Globe Compressors to a wider market.”

Mr Clur said expansion plans already include the opening of new offices in both McKay and Western Australia and a significant growth in turnover will be projected for 2008.

The deal between Globe Compressors and DPSA was officially signed on June 15, 2007.

Globe Compressors joins a number of companies under the DPSA Holdings banner that include DPSA Contracting, DPSA Engineering, DPSA Mining Products and Power Electric Switchboards.

DPSA acquired Power Electric Switchboard in 2006. Also based in Brisbane, Power Electric Switchboards manufactures heavy-duty motor control centres and distribution boards for the commercial, industrial and mining sectors.
