The DPSA Group has been awarded 21st place in the 2008 Business Review Weekly’s Fast 100 listing - the second year in a row it has made this prestigious list.

Of the companies that entered, DPSA was the second fastest growing mining services company in Australia in 2007-8 and the third fastest-growing company based in Queensland. The announcement was made in Sydney on 26 October 2008.

The company achieved its place based on an increase in turnover of 112%. In 2006-7 DPSA was placed 20th with growth of 123%.

DPSA Group CEO Neill Clur said the outstanding result was a reflection of the company's growth strategy.

"Companies that enter are judged on three years of consecutive growth in turnover. To be placed in the top 25 for two consecutive years requires exceptional results. We have experienced over 100% growth every year for the last four years."

To qualify for entry to the BRW Fast 100, a business must achieve an average annual turnover growth in the three years to 30 June 2008 of 44.43% with a staff of less than 200 people.

Mr Clur said he was proud of the excellent achievement.

"Our sucess is thanks to hard work by many people in the DPSA Group. We are also fortuntate to have a very supportive board and strong backing from diverse shareholders," he said.

"DPSA has built up an excellent relationship with our customers and we're confident of further growth and development," he said.

Companies that entered the BRW Fast 100 in 2008 produced total revenues of $1.7 billion, up from $1.68 billion in 2007, despite the current financial uncertainty.

There were 73 newcomers in 2008, compared to 66 new companies in 2007.

Fast 100 editor John Stensholt wrote in BRW magazine that many on the list expected their revenue to rise during the next year, planned to hire more staff, expand overseas and invest in property and shares outside their businesses.
